The Commanders of the Province Process Perfectly!

Before the annual assembly of the Royal Ark Mariner Degree within West Lancashire, all the Commanders of the Province were kindly hosted by Geoffrey Lee, Michael Clarke and Ian Nairn, at a coffee and biscuits session to discuss how we can, as a Province, promote the RAM fraternity. We were of course all sorry that the Provincial Grand Master was not present, as he is still recovering from his recent heart surgery.  He is recovering well, but the request for all communications to go through John Bicknell at the Provincial Office still stands. Get well soon Sir, you are missed!
Many points were raised by the Commanders, to help us to increase the figure of 40% membership of a RAM Lodge by Mark Masons. This figure is below a lot of other Provinces, and is a clear opportunity for us to share this wonderful Degree with our fellow Mark Men!  Deputy Prov.GM Geoffrey Lee commented that the aim is for every Mark Lodge to generate at least one candidate per year, which would mean roughly 2 candidates per RAM Lodge, a good increase over the current recruitment.
The Commanders were very proud to be processed into the annual assembly to witness a wonderful meeting, and represent their RAM Lodges. Some of them were even in step!
Words and pictures by Giles Berkley Worshipful Commander of Semper Fidelis RAM No.880 - thanks to the Province for the coffee!  If my wife is reading this, I didn't have any biscuits.......
